For a while now people have bought "season passes" they seem like a great deal for a game you enjoy! It seems now that companies are seeing it as a more available scummy way to make money.
For example Batman: Arkham Knight, The season pass is $29.99 according to (http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Arkham-Knight-PlayStation-Digital/dp/B00YFP4ZLQ) This is 50% the initial cost of the game which is insane compared to the awful dlc released. First off, it does not add any more areas to the free-roam map, it just adds backstory that was probably made up in about 5 minutes. Another thing is, some of the dlc is just painting the bat mobile or dressing batman up in different costumes.
